Fitting instructions. The cover is attached to the case with a touch of glue. Starting at the top, use the blue opening, to prise the case open. Use a small Philips screwdriver to remove the 2 screws from the top of the Ipod. From the bottom of the Ipod pry the white plastic cover, then the metal clip, then the connector out of its socket. From the bottom push the works out of the top. You can now replace the battery and reverse the procedure. The original glue should re-stick. Re-charge for 4 hours.

The Ipod battery was made to be replaced in Apples factory. With care the case can be opened and the battery user replaced. Use the Blue opening tool to pry-open the case, which is held closed by internal clips. Start at a top corner. The original battery is held in by tacky pads -- which can be reused. The existing battery has to be pried off.
