On top of this you would have had to change an incandescent bulb 4 or 5 times.

For the same amount of light, you have to spend 5 times as much on electricity if you use incandescent bulbs.

The light is 'Warm White', not harsh 'fluorescent' colour. These fluorescent bulbs are a direct replacement for conventional GLS bulbs -- they fit directly into the same fittings.

Some of these fluorescent bulbs are in an outer glass envelope, candle or globe shaped. This gives these low energy bulbs some resistance to knocks.

Use these Globe or Candle low energy bulbs where the bulb is not protected by a shade or light fitting or the shape will look more attractive.
